Leeds Met Uni. Sailing Club has been established for many years and has become very popular with students.  Our main goal is to enjoy ourselves, we do this in various ways although nearly all of them seem to involve drinking lots of beer.

We teach anybody to sail, it doesn't matter if you've never been on the water before or whether you're an old veteran at sailing, we will give you just what you need to sail.  All of our boats are well equipped and are regularly serviced and maintained.  We have all the necessary gear (wetsuits, spray tops and life jackets), and your safety is always in the forefront of everything we do.  We have several members such as myself who are more than ready to jump into a boat with you and show you what its all about.

We go nearly every weekend during term time except when it gets to cold.  We go to a private local reservoir that has excellent facilities such as showers, heated dayroom, kitchen and even a BAR!!!

We have a weekly get together every Tuesday night in the Headingley Taps pub where we discuss sailing and other stuff over a quiet drink or two.  I like to encourage attendance at this meeting as I gives me a chance to get to know you all and helps me organise the sailing trips more easily.
